Trouble in Paradise!?

So, Cyrille and I just came back from our own trip to the Princess Islands (and missed the day at school on Monday due to some circumstances) only to find out that the Group C duo might have turned into a Group C solo.

I haven't had the chance to speak to any of the professors to explain the finer things of the situation. I'll refrain from commenting on the issue as I only have second-hand information. It has got me spooked though :(.

The weekend trip though, it was quite good. My girlfriend celebrated her birthday on Saturday, and as she's an Istanbul native we had a great opportunity to meet some different people and interact with them. Quite valuable as we're missing first hand experience due to the lack of a Turkish team member. Her father was quite knowledgeable about the Turkish history and told me some fun pointers to use in the concept. We were also given a short tour along the Bosphorus, with them poining out different important buildings. It's a shame that we didn't bring our camera.

Sunday, we made our trip to the princess islands. One of the friends owns an house on the island and gave us a tour. We rented a boat and made our way all around the island looking at scenery and taking an occasional dip in the sea. After being thouroughly baked by the sun we were surprised by a BBQ with some traditional Turkish food. This however, resulted in a late night where we slept through our alarm. We woke up, much too late, and dashed to the ferry to get back to the mainland but missed it by a couple of minutes. Tired, out-of-breath and pissed we decided to go back the the house as the next ferry would show up more than an hour later. At this point, it wouldn't have had much use to go to the University anyway as we would only have a couple of hours of time left based on the schedule.

All-in-all, it was a fun couple of days. Now it's time to wait and see what will happen tomorrow...
